Pramiracetam works in a fashion that is similar to most other Nootropics. It is very effective at enhancing brain metabolism by stimulating oxidative catabolism and increasing energy levels by improving ATP turnover and cAMP levels within the brain.

Pramiracetam also works by modulating and influencing a number of diverse receptor sites within the brain. This includes the glutamate (Cholinergic) and the Acetylcholine receptor sites.
Although these mechanisms of action are not fully understood, it is thought that the supplement helps to improve the reuptake and efficiency of these channels.
